The Regal Nails Salon & Spa franchise system was founded in 1997 in Baton Rouge, LA, where the franchisor headquarters is still located today.
The very first Regal Nails salon opened its doors in October 1997 inside of a Kmart in Brooklyn, OH. Additionally, that same month, the first Regal Nails inside of a Wal-Mart opened in Shreveport, LA after another vendor cancelled at the last minute. Regal Nails, LLC stepped up and had a salon open and operating for Wal-Mart, Inc within one day.
In the years since Regal was established, the company has grown to become the largest nail salon franchisor in the United States and has led the way in introducing the following into our franchised salons:
New business models
In 2005, Regal Nails, Salon & Spa, LLC was formed as the successor company to Regal Nails, LLC. Along with the new company name came new models for salons with the expansion of services outside of just manicures and pedicures. While the company name may have changed, the core ideals, values and heart of Regal has always remained the same. Regal Nails, Salon & Spa, LLC quickly began taking over franchisor operations of Regal Nails, LLC and much of the Regal Nails, LLC staff made the transition over to Regal Nails, Salon & Spa, LLC as well.
That same year, the company took its first steps in moving Regal worldwide with plans for expansion into Canada. Our first franchisee in Canada opened in London, ON in September 2006. Today, the franchisor operations are known as Regal Nails Canada, ULC.
Regal launched a full corporate rebranding introducing a new logo in 2015. The Regal logo is a visual translation of our brand attributes. Our logo conveys growth, relaxation, quality, convenience and honesty. As our company grows, communicating a consistent Regal identity becomes a top priority.
